Big Event Details

I posted this for the Montford Neighborhood Association online group. It’s so full of excitement and goodness, that I need to share it here, as well!!!

The Big Event at Odyssey Community School, on Sunday, October 2!

At 9am there will be a 5K run through lovely Montford. At 10am, a Fun Run. There will be tshirts for registrants and prizes for winners!

At 10am the market opens. It will end at 3pm. Some highlights:

Food:
Gypsy Queen Cuisine Food Truck
Ursa Minor Coffee
Take the Cake! Cupcakes-a-Go-Go!
(a possible competitor on TV’s Cupcake Wars!)
The Hop Ice Cream Cafe

Fun:
Live music!
Face painting!
Mini golf!
An acupuncturist (fun for grown-ups?)!
A massage therapist!
A hair stylist putting feathers in people’s hair!

Crafts:
We have crafters who make clothes, jewelry, reusable lunchbags, dolls, ceramics, soap, and jams!

At noon, our chili cook-off will be in full swing! Come see Odyssey School Director John Johnson compete against other cooks! For $5, get a hand stamp and a voting ticket. Sample all the chili you want! When you turn in your voting ticket, you’ll get a bowl to eat more chili!
